1. PARTY NAME, REGISTER and FINANCIAL SCHEME ADOPTION
1.1 The name of the party shall be SAVING SCOTLAND PARTY (hereafter ‘the party’).
1.2 The party is based and registered in Scotland and will operate within the Great Britain registry of the Electoral Commission at all levels of politics, local council, Scottish elections and national UK elections, where it will field candidates at all levels to represent voters in Scotland.
1.3 The mission statement of the party will be Honesty, Integrity and Trust to reflect a democratic grassroots approach to solving problems that exist in Scotland by campaigning to create policy solutions to the problems identified.
1.4 A ‘meeting’ of the executive officers of the party and branch shall also refer to and include an on-line social media ‘meeting’ on any platform agreed by the party executive.
1.5 The party have set out and adopted a financial scheme according to electoral law.
2. AIMS & OBJECTIVES.
2.1 The objective of the party is to raise awareness of and develop policies to protect and improve life for all in Scotland under a four-pillar manifesto of Health, Environment, Education and the Economy by campaigning to obtain political representation at all levels. A manifesto detailing this programme will be written up by party executive members.
2.2 The party will seek to be Guardians of Scotland against the adverse effects of globalism on Scotland’s economy and people. The party will oppose all forms of disproportionate overreach in terms of laws of restriction over the people of Scotland whether it comes from within or outside Scotland.
2.3 In addition to the four-pillar programme, the party will support the democratic right of all nations to self-determination and ipso facto, the right of the Scottish people to determine their own constitutional future as and when the majority demand this.
2.4 In furtherance of people’s civil liberties and human rights, the party will campaign for the creation of a modern Scottish Constitution and Bill of Rights.
2.5 The party will campaign for greater democratic accountability and transparency. In furtherance of this we will campaign to set up an Anti-Corruption Unit to ensure all lobbying of Ministers and MSPs and the awarding of major business contracts is transparent and the mechanism to check and verify such accountability is an Anti-Corruption Unit which sits 15 members of the public as a jury of scrutiny.
2.6 The party believe Scotland should remain outside the European Union and oppose the imposition of the EU agenda of sustainability. We believe the people of Scotland have the right to determine Scottish solutions for Scottish problems within the policy remit of the Scottish parliament.
2.7 The party will promote and protect Scottish cultural traditions and languages of Gaelic and Scots.
2.8 The party will campaign for free speech and a diverse media of various opinions.
2.9 The party will promote freedom of association, promote trade union rights and freedom of religious practice and worship.
2.10 The party will campaign for the right of equality of all citizens before the law and oppose racism and sexism.
2.11 The party will campaign for a new government owned Scottish Hydro Electric company, to develop 21stcentury hydro-electric clean energy and to utilise the power of Nature in Scotland’s rivers, for the benefit of the people and the cheapest electricity for all. We believe that Scotland’s natural resources should be used for and on behalf of the Scottish people, not private profit.
2.12 The party will oppose Nuclear Weapons being employed in Scottish waters.
2.13 The party will organise any peaceful activity which will publicise and further these aims and policies.
